Academic and Clinical Foundations Supporting Consciousness Research
People considering participation in research have a right to understand who is conducting that research and the professional and academic foundations that support the project.
My professional background spans counselling, psychotherapy, clinical hypnotherapy, personal development, and consciousness-related studies, supported by many years of professional practice, academic study, and ongoing professional development. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals seeking support, growth, healing, and a deeper understanding of themselves and their life experiences. This work has reinforced the importance of approaching complex and deeply personal experiences with respect, openness, compassion, and professional responsibility.
I maintain clinical registrations and memberships with key national bodies representing the professional helping services in Australia. These professional memberships reflect an ongoing commitment to ethical practice, professional accountability, continuing education, and adherence to recognised standards within the helping professions:
Australian Counselling Association
Reflects the highest tier of counselling registration, requiring extensive postgraduate qualifications and clinical experience.
Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia
Indicates clinical registration status, demonstrating advanced standards in psychotherapy theory, research, and practice.
Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy
Guarantees certified qualification and ethical accountability in clinical hypnotherapeutic applications.
My academic qualifications combine established clinical methodologies with formal inquiry into metaphysical and parapsychological subjects:
Alongside my professional and academic development, I have maintained a lifelong interest in questions relating to consciousness and the nature of human existence. From some of my earliest memories, I found myself drawn to subjects that many would consider outside conventional frameworks of understanding. Over the years this exploration included interests in dowsing, astrology, meditation, past life regression, future life progression, Life Between Lives, consciousness studies, and transpersonal approaches to human development.
What began as personal curiosity gradually evolved into a more structured pursuit through professional practice, postgraduate education, and research. Throughout that journey, I became increasingly interested not only in extraordinary experiences themselves, but in the profound and lasting impact such experiences can have on the lives of those who report them.
Today, this interest continues through doctoral research in Metaphysical Parapsychology. My dissertation, Life after Death: The Impact of Accessing Humanity's Continuing Consciousness Existence Beyond Physical Death, explores how experiences suggesting the continuation of consciousness beyond physical death influence beliefs, identity, wellbeing, spirituality, personal values, and perceptions of human existence.
"The purpose of sharing these credentials is to provide transparency regarding the professional, academic, and ethical framework within which this project is conducted."
Consciousness After Death is grounded in professional practice, informed by academic research, and guided by a genuine curiosity about whether consciousness may extend beyond physical life.
