Researcher, Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Lifelong Student of Consciousness
Thank you for visiting Consciousness After Death. My name is Andrew Reay, and I am the founder of this research project.
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by questions surrounding consciousness, human potential, spirituality, and the nature of existence itself. What began as a personal curiosity many decades ago has evolved into a lifelong journey of exploration, professional practice, academic study, and now doctoral research.
Today, that journey continues through Consciousness After Death and my doctoral research exploring the impact of experiences that suggest consciousness may continue beyond physical death.
My interest in metaphysical and consciousness-related subjects began during childhood. Over the years I have explored a wide range of topics including:
These interests were never simply about belief. They were driven by curiosity and a desire to better understand the nature of consciousness and the human experience. As the years progressed, that curiosity increasingly led me toward formal study, professional practice, and research.
Alongside my personal exploration of consciousness, I have spent many years working with individuals seeking support, growth, healing, and personal transformation. My professional work includes extensive experience in:
Working closely with people from diverse backgrounds has reinforced the importance of approaching extraordinary experiences with respect, openness, compassion, and professional responsibility.
Throughout my personal, professional, and academic journey, I have encountered many individuals whose experiences challenged conventional assumptions about consciousness and human existence. Among the most profound of these are Near-Death Experiences.
Many people report that these experiences transform their lives, alter their beliefs, change their priorities, and influence how they understand themselves and the world around them. Yet despite their significance, many experiencers still feel misunderstood or uncertain about how to make sense of what happened.
This research seeks to better understand those experiences and, importantly, the impact they have on the people who live through them. My hope is that this work contributes to a deeper understanding of consciousness while providing participants with an opportunity to have their experiences respectfully acknowledged and explored.
I am currently undertaking doctoral studies in Metaphysical Parapsychology.
The research explores how experiences relating to consciousness beyond physical death influence beliefs, identity, wellbeing, spirituality, and perceptions of human existence. Through participant surveys, questionnaires, and qualitative contributions, the project seeks to better understand both the experiences themselves and their lasting impact on individuals.
Consciousness After Death does not begin with predetermined conclusions. The purpose of this project is not to tell people what to believe.
Instead, it seeks to create a respectful environment where experiences can be explored, questions can be asked, and research can contribute to a deeper understanding of consciousness. People approach these topics from many different perspectives, including scientific, psychological, philosophical, spiritual, and personal viewpoints. All perspectives are welcome.
I appreciate your interest in this research and your willingness to explore these important questions.
